Creating the Blue Onion Transaction Custom Field for NetSuite Journal Entries

To create a field to map to the OMS Order ID field and/or the GL Transaction ID in the Blue Onion Journal Entry import, follow the steps below:

1. Navigate to the Transaction Line Items Menu

Navigate to the New Transaction Line Fields menu by selecting Customization > Lists, Records & Fields > Transaction Line Fields > New.  See the image below.

2. Create the OMS Order ID Customer Field

Update the Label to be "OMS Order ID" in your Journal Entry Transactions.  Select the Type of Free-Form Text and make sure the Journal is checked in the Applies To section on the bottom half of the screen.  Hit Save.

3. Create the Originating Transaction Custom Field

Update the Label to be "Originating Order ID" in your Journal Entry Transactions.  Select the Type of List/Record, select the List/Record value of Transaction and make sure the Journal is checked in the Applies To section on the bottom half of the screen.  Hit Save.

Going forward, this field will appear on your Journal Entry templates going forward and be mappable for you in the Blue Onion Saved CSV import or API Push.
